Have you ever noticed someone who beautiful on the inside? They just glow with enthusiasm and joy. You find that it is easy to be around them, and you look forward to your next time together. God makes us into that sort of person. He works on the inside out. My mother in law (Marji Gustafson) taught my wife Anne when she was a little girl that there are three pillars to living a life at peace. Simplicity, generosity, and contentment. If you find yourself in need of any of these three areas, ask the father and he will give to you what you lack, because he loves you. James 1:5
Everyone needs a place of solitude. A place to think, pray and be alone with one's thoughts. Too many times each week we fill our lives with activities and people without taking time to be alone. Learning to steal moments in walking by yourself, sitting by a quiet fire, or even sitting in a coffee shop with low lights; these events give us time to reflect, pause and breath. It is essential to our well being as well as to our health. Life can be very busy, take time for yourself this week. It can be the start of a wonderful habit that refreshes your soul.
